1Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CardioRehab PK — the app, its website (app.ahmedzainsubhani.com), and its Android app (together, "the app", "we", "us") — and your interactions with Dr. Ahmed Zain Subhani's clinical practice made through it, including booking a consultation.
By using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Some features described here are being rolled out in stages. Where a feature isn't switched on yet, the section describing it doesn't apply to you until it goes live — our Privacy Policy lists current status for each feature.
2Who we are
CardioRehab PK is developed and operated by Dr. Ahmed Zain Subhani, Specialist Cardiac Surgeon and Assistant Professor, Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), Lahore, Pakistan. References to "the clinic" or "the practice" mean Dr. Zain and, where applicable, his clinic staff at PIC and affiliated hospitals.
3Eligibility & account
CardioRehab PK is intended for adult cardiac patients and their adult caregivers. You must be at least 18 years old, or using the app as an adult caregiver on behalf of a patient, to use it.
The app currently requires no account or sign-in — you can use its tracking features straight away, with your data stored on your device.
If sign-in and cloud sync become available in the future, you'll be responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Information you enter (yours or, as a caregiver, a patient's) should be accurate to the best of your knowledge, since inaccurate entries can produce misleading trackers and alerts.
4What the service is (and isn't)
CardioRehab PK provides educational cardiac-rehabilitation content and personal record-keeping tools: trackers for INR, blood pressure, blood sugar, symptoms, and medicines; reminders; a recovery timeline; and a way to message the clinic to book a consultation.
CardioRehab PK is not a medical device, is not a diagnostic tool, and is not a monitoring or emergency-response service. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See Section 9 for the full medical disclaimer.
Some features are planned but not yet live, including account sign-in, cloud sync, in-app payment, and a doctor-side dashboard. We'll update these Terms and the app itself as they launch.
5Booking & consultations
Today, booking happens via WhatsApp or phone. Tapping "Book on WhatsApp" opens a pre-filled message to the clinic's number; sending it starts a normal WhatsApp conversation with the clinic, not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is confirmed only when the clinic replies to confirm the date and time.
Appointment availability, timing, and format (in-person or online) are subject to Dr. Zain's schedule and confirmation.
Cancellations or rescheduling should be requested via WhatsApp or phone as far in advance as possible.
A consultation booked through the app is a real medical service governed by the clinic's normal clinical practice standards — these Terms cover your use of the app itself, not the clinical relationship between you and Dr. Zain, which is separately governed by standard medical practice and applicable healthcare regulation in Pakistan.
6Payments & refunds In-app payment: Planned – not yet live
The app does not currently collect any payment. Consultation fees are discussed and settled directly with the clinic — for example, in person, by bank transfer, or via a payment link the clinic sends you outside the app.
Once in-app payment is switched on, it will run through a licensed Pakistani payment gateway (such as Safepay or JazzCash) on a secure, hosted checkout page; we will never collect or store your full card number, CVV, or wallet PIN. Refund terms will be shown to you before checkout at that time.
Any dispute about a fee already paid directly to the clinic (outside the app) should be raised directly with the clinic using the contact details in Section 15.
7Acceptable use
When using the app, you agree not to:
Use it for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could harm, disable, or overburden the app or its infrastructure.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app, other users' data, or the clinic's systems.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the app, or copy its content for commercial redistribution, except as allowed by applicable law.
Impersonate another person, or submit health information that isn't genuinely yours or a patient you're authorized to act for as a caregiver.
Use the app as a substitute for calling emergency services in a genuine emergency.
8Your content & our content
Your content: you keep ownership of the health data, notes, and other information you enter into the app. Because it's stored on your device today, you're responsible for backing it up (using the export feature) if you want to keep it.
Our content: the app's design, educational content, text, graphics, and branding (including "CardioRehab PK" and its logo) belong to Dr. Ahmed Zain Subhani or his licensors, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use of the app, but not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from them without permission.
Educational content in the app (recovery guidance, medicine information, etc.) is provided for general information and may be updated or corrected at any time without notice.
9Medical disclaimer
CardioRehab PK provides educational cardiac-rehabilitation information and personal record-keeping tools. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a monitoring or emergency-alert service — it does not watch your readings in real time and does not contact anyone on your behalf.
Always follow the advice of Dr. Zain or another qualified physician regarding your condition, and never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or tracked in this app.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency — such as severe chest pain, breathlessness, fainting, or very abnormal readings — contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on this app in an emergency.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Pakistan:
The app and its educational content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Neither Dr. Ahmed Zain Subhani nor anyone involved in creating, producing, or delivering the app will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including reliance on educational content, reminders, or trackers.
This limitation does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability arising from actual clinical negligence in the clinical relationship between you and Dr. Zain (as opposed to use of the app itself), which is governed by ordinary medical practice standards and law, not by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury directly caused by our proven negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, to the extent such limitation is not permitted by law.
11Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dr. Ahmed Zain Subhani and his practice from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or information you submit that you weren't authorized to submit (for example, entering another person's health data without authorization as their caregiver).
12Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.
Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to first raise any concern directly with us using the contact details in Section 15 — most issues can be resolved this way without needing to go further.
13Suspension & termination
You can stop using the app at any time, and — because there's no account today — simply uninstalling it or clearing its site data ends your use immediately, along with your locally stored data (unless you've exported a backup).
We may suspend or discontinue any part of the app (or the app as a whole), with or without notice, particularly for features still in active development.
We may restrict or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, such as by misusing the app or attempting to access data you're not authorized to see.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Medical disclaimer, Limitation of liability, Indemnity, and Governing law) will continue to apply after your use of the app ends.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the app's features change. When we do, we'll update the "Version" and "Effective" fields at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms; if you don't agree with a change, please stop using the app.
